A Glimpse Into The Touring
Life of A Professional Musician
The IIMIF concert tour began as a chance for international students to extend their stay and visit the region. It has grown into a selective, audition-based opportunity to showcase the results of the work done during the program with communities throughout Maryland.
If you are interested in applying for the tour, be sure to indicate this on your application. Additional audition/interview materials may be required.
- IIMIF participants will be invited to the tour during the application process
- Tour participants may be selected to perform as soloists or as part of their IIMIF chamber ensemble. Programming will be finalized during the institute based on faculty recommendations.
- Concerts will take place in community venues, including churches, senior centers, and community concert series.
- Fees:
- An additional fee of $250 applies for admitted full-time tour participants. These participants will be featured in all performances and will reside with host families. All meals, local transportation, and activities/sight-seeing are included.
If you are interested in applying for the tour, be sure to indicate this on your application. Additional audition/interview materials may be required.
