Program Fellow and Student Engagement Coordinator
Ruth Christino is an undergraduate student at the Pennsylvania State University studying Music Education with a minor in psychology. She has taught both privately and in classroom settings with students from elementary to high school. Most recently, Ruth served as a Guest Clinician at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes Middle School Arts Fest. Ruth spent the last month of her senior year of high school teaching elementary instrumental music at Charles Barrett Elementary School in her hometown of Alexandria, Virginia. She was also privileged to work as student teacher and conductor in her high school orchestra program, an experience that culminated in her conducting the highest level orchestra from her high school at the 2024 Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association district adjudication event. She has worked at numerous summer music programs throughout the northern Virginia area. Ruth attended IIMIF as a student from 2022-2024.
In 2025 she is excited to return as a Program Fellow and Student Engagement Coordinator. During the program, her role includes assisting faculty, managing on-site operations, and student engagement. She is also excited to present a workshop on creative writing and share her passion for yoga by leading the daily stretches for musician. During the off-season, she assists in program planning and development. |
