IMIF Junior Program: July 13-18, 2012

IMIF Junior is an immersion program for youth ages 8-13. It is our goal to share and pass on the energy, enthusiasm, and intensity that our students and faculty bring to IMIF and give you a taste of what participation in IMIF is like.
  • Daily morning stretches with IMIF group
  • Two private lessons and public solo performance
  • Workshops on stage presence and improvisation
  • Exploratory inter-disciplinary arts activities
  • Chamber music coaching and public performance
  • Daily special events: faculty, guest, and student performances, masterclasses, lessons, and rehearsals
  • Certificate of Participation
  • Commemorative Tshirt
  • Group Photo
  • Ice cream social with IMIF faculty and students
  • Accommodations in air-conditioned room on campus (bed linens and towels included)
  • All meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) at the Mount St. Mary's University dining hall
  • Chaperones/Counselors provide supervision of IMIF Junior participants

The program is geared for the intermediate skill level. It is our hope that students who attend this program may be ready for full IMIF participation in future years.

The saturation in music and observation of other accomplished young performers can make a significant impact on the interest, dedication, and development of younger musicians. We look forward to welcoming you to IMIF Prep this summer!

*Gifted students under age 13 are still welcome to apply to the full-length IMIF program. Over the years, we have had younger students participate with great success.
